Conservation Meeting Minutes 6/21/07
Conservation Commission
Meeting
June 21, 2007
NO QUORUM
Peg Arguimbau Chairman, Stephan Glicken, and Hank Langstroth were the members present.

8:00 p.m. Activity Update – Peter Dangelo, 140 Maskwonicut Street. Driveway site preparation.
DEP File #SE-280-431:
Peter Dangelo appeared before the Commission and explained the status of the proposed project:
Completed the pipe installation to eliminate the drainage channel on the site, and installed an
outlet connecting Wetland Area 2 to Wetland Area 1
Backfilled the work performed on the drainage channel
Cut-in the toe of the sloped area of the site and designed an “S” shaped turn for the driveway in
order to gain access to the upland portion of the site
Peter Dangelo explained the remaining work to complete the proposed project:
To rake down the sloped areas of the site
The planting of wildflowers to blend into the natural landscape
The Conservation Administrator inspected the site and determined that the culvert
did not alter the adjacent wetlands; however, the limit of work may have exceeded the permitted work area.
Peter Dangelo explained to the Commission that he inadvertently disturbed the Conservation Restriction Line
when cutting into the toe of slope. He intends to replicate the disturbed area with native species plantings.
The Commission requested the following information from the Applicant:
The submittal of an As Built Plan for the work done thus far, including the house and the
proposed barn
To flag the corners of the driveway/barn
The installation of haybales at the toe of slope and up to the edge of the driveway, as opposed to
the edge of the wetland
That Peg and the Conservation Administrator visit the site to review the completed work and
layout for the proposed barn
For the Applicant to eventually add the driveway and limit of work on the approved site plan
Peg explained that the Order of Conditions issued by the Commission for the proposed project is due to expire on July 15, 2007, and that it would be necessary for the Applicant to request an extension.
Peter Dangelo expressed a willingness to comply with the Commission’s requests.
